Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist
Hello, I'm Kate
Welcome and congratulations, seriously.
I understand it can take a while to reach out for help.
In my practice, I create a nurturing environment where you can freely express your thoughts without fear of judgment. Whether you’re dealing with personal challenges or seeking support, I offer specialized therapies tailored to women, students, and LGBTQ+ individuals. You’re not alone—let me be your partner on this journey toward well-being.
My Mission For You
We can discuss addiction, anxiety, stress, burn out, depression, trauma, high-functioning anxiety, self-sabotage, imposter syndrome, disorderly eating, relationship issues, communication and interpersonal difficulties, and life transitions.
For seven years I have been counselling persons in urban and rural Southern Ontario who are from across Canada and over 120 countries. I utilize Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. I have worked with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Ontario Works (OW), Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre (KSAC), the House of Commons, and Trent University. I will incoporate lived-experience in sessions if it adds value to your wellbeing and if it faciliates a more human-experience.

Practice Perspective + Specialities
I hold space for my clients with a client-centred, non-judgemental, anti-oppressive approach, with a biopsychosocial holistic lens. This ensures I consider the person's mental health with their external environment that usually incluldes their family, friends, housing situation, employment, physical health, and much more.
